About This Camp
Bikes, Boards + Books offers a high-energy summer experience for children ages 4 to 10, blending expert physical instruction with a thoughtful literacy component. Led by a former BMX pro and a learning specialist, this program focuses on building skill and confidence through small-group coaching on bikes and skateboards. Campers utilize a state-of-the-art indoor facility—complete with a pump track to boost gross motor skills and self-regulation—alongside outdoor adventures in Brooklyn Bridge Park. While experienced riders enjoy local field trips to Red Hook and DUMBO, every camp day is balanced with creative, open-ended projects and daily read-alouds to keep young minds as active as their bodies. With a commitment to quality instruction and limited enrollment, it is the perfect spot for kids to take brave risks and master new skills in a supportive, fun-filled environment.
