About This Camp
In this high-octane engineering workshop, kids transform found objects and recycled materials into fully functional, gravity-powered vehicles. Working alongside expert teaching artists and teen mentors, campers master the mechanics of steering and brakes while letting their imaginations run wild—where a car can just as easily be a butterfly as a race truck! Each week culminates in a Mini Derby and awards ceremony on 20th Street, where families can cheer on these newfound driving skills. Plus, all participants are invited to the legendary South Slope Derby on August 29, 2026, to show off their ingenuity to the whole neighborhood. It’s the ultimate blend of physics, grit, and creative flair!
Cancellation & Transfer Policy
If you choose to cancel your kid’s registration prior to April 15th, you will receive a full refund, minus the initial deposit per kid. If you choose to cancel between April 16th and June 1st, you will receive a 50% refund minus the initial deposit per kid. After June 1st, there are no refunds available.
